There are many ways to select text in Word.

This How-To Article shows you several ways to select text.

Select Text

1. For small blocks of text, click and drag the mouse cursor to select the text.

Tip: You can also use Shift + Arrow Keys to select text.

2. When selecting large blocks of text, click the mouse at the beginning of the block. Next, hold down the Shift key and click at the end of the block of text.

3. To select all of the text in a document, press CTRL + A.
