Hide Spelling and Grammar Errors

Don't want Word to underline your spelling and grammar errors as you type?

This How-To Article shows you how to make Word not underline errors in your documents.


Hide Spelling and Grammar Errors

1. Click the Tools menu and select "Options...".

2. Click the "Spelling & Grammar" tab.

3. Uncheck the "Check spelling as you type" check box.

4. Uncheck the "Check grammar as you type" check box.

Tip: You can also just uncheck one of these check boxes to disable spelling or grammar checking, instead of both.

5. Click OK.

Note: Spelling and Grammar will still be checked when you select "Spelling and Grammar..." from the Tools menu or when you press the F7 key.
