Disable Folding Menus

Reader rating: 6 out of 10

Note: This How-To Article applies to Office 2000 only

Don't like Office 2000's folding menu feature? Folding menus can be helpful when you only use certain menu options over and over again. If you randomly use many options from the menus, then personalized folding menus don't serve a purpose for you.

This How-To Article shows you how to disable Office 2000's Folding menu feature.

Disable Folding Menus

1. Open any Office 2000 application.

2. Click the Tools menu and select "Customize" from the menu that appears.

3. Click the Options tab.

4. Click the "Menus Show Recently Used Commands First" check box, do that this box is no longer checked.

5. Click the "Close" button.

Tip: To enable folding menus again, just check the "Menus Show Recently Used Commands First" check box.
