Insert a Section Break

Reader rating: 4 out of 10

A section break can be helpful when you are trying to divide up your document into easy to format sections.

Insert a Section Break

1. Move the cursor to the place that you would like to insert the Section Break.

2. Click the Insert menu and select "Break..." from the menu that appears.

3. Select the section break that you would like to use.

4. Click OK.

Tip: the best place to use section breaks are in places that you need to separate formatting. For example, if you need margins set up differently for two sections of your document.
