Move or Remove Start Menu Items

Move or Remove Start Menu Items Remove an item from the Start menu 1. Click the Start button, point to Programs. 2. Navigate through the menus until you find the item you want to remove. Tip: You can remove folders in addition to shortcuts. 3. Right-click the item you want to remove, and select "Delete" from the menu that appears. 4. The item will be moved to the Recycle Bin, and can be restored if needed. Move an item in the Start menu 1. Click the Start button, point to Programs. 2. Navigate through the Start menu folders until you find the item you want to move. 3. Click and drag the item to a new location in the Start menu. Tip: You can also drag the item off the Start menu to the Desktop. 4. Once the item is moved to the new location, let the mouse button up. 5. The item will now be moved.
