Quickly Start Screensavers
Reader rating: 4 out of 10 Introduction Why wait a time delay for your screensaver to start when you can activate it with the click of a mouse? This How-To Article shows you how you can place an icon on your Desktop, therefore enabling you to easily start your screensaver. Quickly Start Screensavers 1. Double-click the My Computer icon from the Desktop. 2. Double-click the "C:\" icon. 3. Double-click the "Windows" icon. 4. Screensaver files are listed in this folder. 4. Right-click the screensaver that you would like to make a shortcut to, point Send To, and select "Desktop (create shortcut)" from the menu that appears. 5. Now, to activate the screensaver, just double-click the icon from the Desktop. Tip: If you can't locate the screensaver you are looking for, try clicking the Start button, point to "Find", and select "Files or Folders". Search for "*.scr" (without the quotes). This search will return a list of all the screensavers on your computer. Then, follow "Step 4-5" to create the shortcut.
