Sort the Start Menu

Reader rating: 7 out of 10

Introduction

Windows 98 introduces the feature of being able to move folders to where you want them, instead of being in alphabetical order. How can you fix this? This How-To Article will show you how.

Sort the Start Menu

Here's the easiest way to do this:

1. Click the Start menu, point to Programs, and right-click any folder in the Start menu.

2. From the menu that appears, select "Sort By Name".

3. Your Programs list will now be put in alphabetical order.

If you prefer to have the Programs list in order each time you start your computer, the freeware program, MenuSnap can help.
