Do you frequently access a certain web site? Would you like an easier way to visit the site than using your Favorites list?

This How-To Article shows you how to create an Internet shortcut on the Desktop.

Create an Internet Shortcut

1. Right-click a blank spot on the Desktop, point to "New", and select "Shortcut".

2. The Create Shortcut window will appear. In the text box, type the complete address of the web page you would like the shortcut to link to. (Example: http://www.computertim.com)

3. Click "Next".

4. In the shortcut name text box, enter the name for the shortcut. This is the name which will appear below the shortcut's icon. (Example: Computer Training 2000)

5. Click "Finish".

6. The shortcut will now be created on your Desktop.

7. To access the web page which the shortcut links to, just double-click the shortcut's icon.
