Introduction

Microsoft Outlook 2000 uses many different symbols to represent different types of items.

Understanding Outlook Symbols

1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2000 and select your profile if necessary.

2. Click the Help menu and select "Microsoft Outlook Help".

3. Type "Symbols" in the office assistant's question box.

4. From the list of results, select "About Symbols in Microsoft Outlook".

5. Figure 1.1 will then be shown.

6. Select what Symbols you want to learn about (Figure 1.1).

7. To go back to the original screen (Figure 1.1) click the back button. (The arrow pointing to the left of the screen.
