Automatically Delete Old Items

This How-To Article shows you how to use AutoArchive to automatically delete old items from your folders. Automatically Delete Old Items 1. Right-click the folder which has the old items you would like automatically deleted. 2. From the menu that appears, select "Properties". 3. Click the "AutoArchive" tab. 4. Select "Archive this folder using these settings:". 5. Enter the number of months after which you would like old items to be deleted. 6. Select "Permanently delete old items". 7. Click OK. IMPORTANT NOTE: Setting this AutoArchive setting will cause Outlook to delete items older than the number of months you selected. Deleted items can not be restored.
