Convert a Folder to a Subweb

Reader rating: 4 out of 10

Would you like to convert content from a folder into a separate web site?

This How-To Article shows you how to change a folder inside a web site into a subweb.

Convert a Folder to a Subweb

1. Show the Folder List. (Click the View menu and select "Folder List".)

2. Locate the folder which you would like to convert to a subweb.

IMPORTANT!: Be sure you want to change the folder to a subweb. Converting to a subweb makes changes to the site's navigation structure and shared borders.

3. Right-click the folder which you would like to to convert.

4. From the menu that appears, select "Convert To Web".

5. FrontPage will now convert the folder to a completely new web. You can create separate shared borders, styles, and banners for this new web.

6. To begin working on the new web, just double-click the folder of the web.
