This How-To Article shows you how to make a link open in a new window.


Open Link in a New Window

1. Highlight the text you want to use as the hyperlink.

2. Press CTRL+K to open the "Add Hyperlink" window.

3. Create the hyperlink as usual. (Don't click OK when you are done.)

4. Click the "Target Frame..." button.

5. From the list of "Common targets", select "New Window".

6. FrontPage will automatically change the "Target setting" text box to "_blank".

7. Click OK.

8. Click OK.

9. Now, when the link is clicked, it will open a new window to display in.

Tip: If you want to set more advanced attributes such as window size and window features, you can use JavaScript to open the window.
