AutoRecover Settings
Reader rating: 3 out of 10 Introduction AutoRecover helps you save your data in the case that your computer crashes. This How-To Article shows you how to specify how often AutoRecover saves your workbook. AutoRecover Settings 1. Click the Tools menu and select "Options...". 2. Click the "Save" tab. 3. In the "minutes" text box, enter how many minutes you would like Excel to wait before autosaving your workbook. Tip: If you are working with important workbooks, we recommend setting this number to either 1 or 2. If your computer starts to slow down while using Excel, raise this number. (Please note that raising this number will cause your workbook to be autosaved less often.) 4. Click OK.
