Add a Worksheet Background

Reader rating: 5 out of 10

This How-To Article shows you how to add a background graphic to an Excel Worksheet.

Add a Worksheet Background

1. Click the "Format" menu, point to "Sheet", and select "Background" from the menu that appears.

2. Browse and locate the picture which you would like to use for your worksheet's background.

Tip: Be sure not to pick a background which will distract from the text. For example, black text on a dark background is not a very good choice, as it makes the data on the worksheet difficult to read.

3. Click "Insert".

4. Excel will now insert the image you chose into the background of your worksheet.
