Save Worksheet as HTML

Reader rating: 3 out of 10

Introduction

The major enhancement from Office 98 to Office 2000 was integration with the Internet. With Microsoft Office 2000, every document you create in any Office 2000 program can be saved in HTML allowing you to share it over the Internet.

This How-To Article shows you how to save an Excel Worksheet as HTML.

Save Worksheet as HTML

Be sure that you save your Excel worksheet before attempting to save it as HTML.

1. Click the File menu and select "Save as Web Page..." from the menu that appears.

2. Navigate to the folder you would like to place your Excel worksheet.

3. Enter a file name for the Worksheet Web Page.

Tip: Don't use spaces in the file name or symbols. If you use spaces or symbols, the files will work fine on your computer, but they may not work on the Internet with some web servers.

4. Select if you would like to save just the Active Sheet or if you would like to save the entire workbook.

5. Click the Save button.

6. Your web page is now ready to be published to the Internet.
