Disable AutoRecover

Introduction
AutoRecover is a great feature of Excel which protects your worksheets in the event of a crash.
At times, you may want to disable AutoRecover, as it can sometimes slow your computer down. This How-To Article shows you how to disable AutoRecover.
Disable AutoRecover
1. Click the Tools menu and select "Options...".
2. Click the "Save" tab.
3. Check the "Disable AutoRecover" check box.
4. Click OK.
