If you are on a LAN (Local Area Network), you might want to share your workbook. Excel provides features to do this.

Sharing a Worksheet

1. Click the Tools menu and select Share Workbook... from the menu that appears.

2. Check the box: "Allow changes by more than one user at the same time". This will enable merging of your workbook.

3. Click OK.

4. Now, more than one person can open the same workbook at the same time.
